I've been wanting to do the blue LED's to my EF for a while but haven't got around to it. I also did it to my EA with red LED's and wasn't too keen on going through and soldering resistors and trying to get it all placed right again. After seeing that pic I really wanna get this done now, nice job.

I'll wait and see with how you go with the A/C panel and let you know when I want a set.

Ordered my LED's in blue, got them literally the next day. Thanks mate!

As far as difficulty - 2/10. Its a direct swap, globes for led's. The only extra thing I did was scraped the orange backing off the needles to give it a frosted look. The dash came up looking amazingly good.

I finally got around to installing these on the weekend. I had to actually bend the pins around the other way (I assume I'm not the only one who had to do that for it to work).

Is it normal that now all the other dashlights have gone dim to the point that I can't see them? For eample the econ light, odometer, etc. I can't see them. :(

The blue looks really nice though.

You probably changed some of the warning light globes instead of the instrument lighting. Is your's an EF or an EL??

Sometimes if they are too long, the extend past the plastic reflector that carries the light to the guage. Try pulling the LED out and shortening it a bit as I described in the PM and see if that helps.

If you have any more issues, don't hesitate to contact me!

EF, high range cluster if that makes a difference. I think I did change the correct ones considering the only thing that lights up is the instrument lights. I changed two at the top, two on the side and two down the bottom. All white surrounds. As far as I can tell, the warning lights all have a blue surrounds, and I didn't touch those, just the 6 I'm supposed to.

The instrument cluster does look nice but I can't go without my warning lights (blinker and high beam indicators still work). I'll pull it all apart this weekend and see what's up.

It's deffinately strange, the intrument lighting shouldn't affect the warning lights at all. Mine is only a low series cluster, but everything else works fine.

Ok, so it wouldn't be overloading the rest of the lights or anything like that? It seems to be on some sort of shared powerboard. When I get time I'll put the originals back in and see if the other lights work again. If not, I guess they are cooked. If they do work though, that's just odd.

If they are dead that's probably good news as I have 6 spare sitting around at the moment. ;)

Er, ok so the indicator and high beam lights work, smartlock and handbrake lights work. Also the light that comes on when you switch the engine off but still have lights on works, so perhaps it's just econ and odometer that have blown (wouldn't have a clue if the warning lights worked or not)

Have you checked the dimmer on the headlight switch is turned up first?
