You are right. The larger rims are usually heavier thus more power is required to turn them, and because of the larger diameter you will get less tractive effort. Changing to 16's will make a substantial difference.

Don't forget to pump the front tyres to the maximum pressure for less rolling resistance.

The rears should be around 38psi. If you fail to maintain traction with about 1700rpm stall then deflate the rears to about 32psi on the following run. Keep doing this till you find the sweet spot.

Is anyone keen for a run on a Wednesday night out to Willowbank? there doesn't seem to be as many cars on a Wednesday. this way we could get more runs.
