rear gaurds are way too pumped, looks ridiculous, not even neccessary to fit some mickey Ts in there...

the triple indicator strikeout looks like a crossfire (ala ugly)..

but otherwise it works pretty well i guess. so long as they are happy.

So that's the story of the vehicle... I was the one who posted it in the "Epic Fail" thread awhile ago.
The pic was taken by a mate at the Summernats a while ago. To be honest, I don't think it was such a bad attempt, but it didn't turn out looking real pretty. Not because the person attempted to incorporate Ford styling into a Holden, but the chrome strips look ugly and the rear mud guards? Yuck!

You are so wrong it is not funny.

The car was at Summernats about 3 years ago or so, and I got to chat with the owner/ builder about it. He built the car himself at home. I cant remember too much about the chat but I do remember he had a trade (either sheet metal or fitter and turner, and may have been originally from South Africa. The car was never built to stir emotions. Just built it for himself as a project.

Whether you like it or hate it, have a look at the work that has gone into the car itself. He did all the metal work himself, and also modded the fibreglass bars aswell.

I love how people will criticise everybody elses efforts, yet never put up any of their own for criticism. MRBAXR6T, if you can do better, I would love to see it.

frd906 I live Cedar Grove, & have also had a rather lengthy conversation at a Jimmy show last year with the owner who did build it himself,

& although I do not remember much of the conversation with the builder, I do remember him saying something about the drama's he had with getting rego, I think someone made a mistake or something which is how it passed, & he did have many pics of the build on him & his show board, & is quite happy to discuss with anyone who was interested (or not even)

its a shame that customising is getting such a dump. This bloke has put heaps into it and It's a clean looking CAR. It's no ford, or holden. It's a edited CAR. bag it all you want, I'm impressed by his efforts. So often I see pub / bar threads trend in the way of the common opinion. screw that.

I want one. I really do. I love it. Would change the wheels though and do a few little things to it. Would love to see this car in person and have a chat to the owner. Nice work.

Absoutely, like I said 9.8 for ingenuity. Putting aside the whole ford front on a munny thing, I'm not keen on it's look. For me it just looks awkward. Definitely 10 out of 10 for putting his money where his mouth is, & having the guts to go for it. But the look, not for me. Everyone to their own.

i've actually judged this car at a custom auto expo a few years back. all the guards are steel, it has had a heap of work done to it.
the wreck you all see, was the donor car for things such as wiring looms and interior. it is registered as an ICV (individually constructed vehicle).
the guy who built it lives in jomboomba which is why you all see it around there all the time. he drives it everyday. and his name starts with "K" which is the reason for the KSV badgeing on it.
it does have a nissan v8 and gearbox in it, which is actually a very untidy conversion, but points for doing it.
it runs all monaro running gear and interior.

I imagine it would be. The car looks untidy & I don't mean that in the "I hate the look of it". Something just looks "off" on it. I don't know whether its the triple indicators & lines or the fact that the car's rear pumped guards makes the BA front look "small" giving an un-proportional look. Something about it just makes it look "untidy". It might be a color choice too. I think a dark blue may have helped better. It might have helped make it look proportional.

Just my thoughts. Thanks for the clear-up.
