I can imagine that beautiful old girl with modern running gear underneath it...and you wouldn't even have to do any performance work to the engine...I'm pretty sure the XC weighed a lot less than a modern Falcon sedan...

XR-XA with the 5.4 3V and ZF6 as a realistic reliable cruiser/daily.

And shes no dream car but buggered if I now why Ford never facelifted the wagon with FG B pilar forward, ZF6 and given the tail lights/bumper a touch up, surely they would have moved more than the Mondeo flop and still serviced the taxi industry.

Current FG X brake and suspension setup with stock looking rims (17" diameter), hubcaps and dress rims, fitted with 245/70 x 17 tyres. Interior to use bench seats, trimmed with current materials, seat belts, premium factory sound system, per current model G6E. External paint to be tastefully tri-toned using current colour chart.
