Car parks are public places (to a degree) people can park wherever they want if you dont like it dont park. If you dont want to park your car and worry about damage dont drive it. Or better yet just get a ******* as a daily and dont worry.
My biggest gripe is people that cant park properly. Or people that use parents or disabled parking spots when they have no right to. Having a baby myself it ***** me when i go to my local shops and all the parents spots are taking up by people with baby seats |

Why do disabled people get same deal. Most so called disable people i see are old people who drive their cars and get out and walk into the shops. Dont seem that disabled to me...
As for parents why not the spaces are larger to accomadate prams and the like theyre meant for parent with babies not kids who are able to walk. Lol realised my 1st post makes no sense its meant to be without baby seats |

I try and park next to nice cars as I figure they probably care, and even with my kids, my daughter will often ask me to open the door for her as there isn't enough room for her to do it safely. If I am under cover, I park as close to the pillar as possible, that way there is a decent gap and if some idiot parks angled or on the line, they would still have to make an effort to hit my cars. Our new shopping centre, every bay is almost the size of disabled bays. It is awesome, even when you are close to the line you can fully open the door without getting near the car in the next bay.

Oee morning at 6:30 me and the old man, parked out the front of a atm in the main street. We were the only car parked in the car parks. There is about 100 other spots free in the street. This woman comes and parks in the spot to the right. The woman parked so close my dad could not get out of the car. I have no idea what people think when they park there cars.
When I park teh GT. I just try find a space between 2 cars that has a fair amount of room. Seems to work for me. |

Get a doctor to say she needs a walking aid to go places and you will get a permit. That what the permit is for. People who can not walk long distances without an aid. |

like most on here, i park in the most deserted areas of the car parks. the mrs sometimes complains but a 2 min walk ain't going to kill her. it will always be a mystery why some people feel the need to park next to you when there are so many other parks availiable closer to the entrance, but i do feel that some do it because they know you aren't going to ding them. they feel its a safe place to park. |

I agree. The car is like a magnet even if the entire car park is empty and I park in the far corner, come back and there are a cluster of cars parked around mine and the rest of the carpark is still empty.
I always use the 2 spaces method now ....... no more inconsiderate than people opening their doors into my car or hitting it with a trolley and not leaving any details.

Years ago when touring USA we had a old Ford Econoline. Had a great time shopping came back hopped into van and throw into drive,,,, bang... bloody shopping trolley put right under the windscreen there was no way to see it. Unfortunately the car park was on a slope and said trolley took off like a rat up a drainpipe.... rumble rumble rumble it went travelled about 100 yards and banged into delivery van, poor bugga gets out looks at trolley scratching his head obviously thinking **** howd I hit that.
It moved too fast for us to catch it esp when excited bout purchases and being belted up etc.

Not only that other annoyed motorists will take great delight on running a coin or key down both sides of your car's panels. But I still do not understand why people feel the need to park next to my car when I park right at the back on the deserted part of the car park. Parked my GT right at the back gone into the shops and when I returned some retard had parked his TRUCK right next to my GT, so close he would have had to struggle to get out. I checked the car and there was no damage, just as I was checking my GT the retard returned to his truck. I stood there staring at him, watching him get into his truck he struggled not touching my car, as he was doing so I asked him if he is Fu@#&^ stupid parking so close to my car when there was not a single car within about 10 spaces of my car. He just looked at me and left. Hopefully he learned a lesson that day

it is hypocritical i know, because when the coupe or rav4 gets parked anywhere i looked for the deserted corner, but having a car next to you is only a problem if they hit yours. if they do not hit yours, then they are actually protecting 1 side from a runaway trolley |

never thought of doing that, but i'm guessing people with nice cars wouldn't be happy to come back to their car and see my crappy looking excel (complete with kids seat) parked next to their pride and joy to 'protect' it

Looking at it from the other side. Are we allowed to bash disabled people for parking in one of our spaces ? (That was sarcasm for those with a humour lobotomy)

they may not be too impressed, but it seems some idiot will park next to it anyway, so it may as well be an idiot that will not damage their car - that's my story anyway |

I laughed when I was down at Sunbury, where Big W and Safeway (Woolworths or some crap to all you crazy non Mexicans) and they have this two story car park, but the spaces are all really tiny, I had a laugh when I seen someone in a 00' model F150 tried to park there, he had to reverse in on a slant, taking up two car parks and his nose was still sticking out past the park onto the road, I swear they're really tiny car parks.

I try to park next to Falcons and I'll avoid a close spot next to Holden if I can get next to any other car. Though I NEVER park next to a camry.
