Does anyone know anywhere I can lookup the status of my build based on my SIDO.
I have a feeling my dealer is playing games and hasn't been 100% truthful about when my vehicle will arrive. I gave up a deposit at another dealer (march 2015 del) as my local dealer promised stock in December. I have now been told that they are trying to swap their allocated manual for the auto I ordered!!!! Smells fishy.

Will come back to you on the SIDO by PM.
My understanding is that our allocations are out to March and we have enough Orders to probably cover the rest of the year. |

Interesting, checked 2 SIDO's, one was good, the other a made up number that won't exist for a fair while, so deliberately deceitful...definitely some game playing going on.

So what are people getting quoted for insurance?
Just did one with GIO with their platinum cover and came to a bit under $1k. Not bad I reckon? Not sure if there is any point in their Lifetime new car replacement however, what would they replace it with after 2016?

When I sold my BF2 XR6 I kept the insurance active, even though I didn't have the car, with AAMI. This was so I could keep the no claim and some other benefits going and not start from scratch. Swapped the insurance straight over when I got the XR8, insured for $61,000. Cost was about $580. with a $10 refund from the XR6. Cheers, Garry.

$63,000 drive away for a manual FG X XR8 is a far cry from $52,490 plus on roads.I was keen, but not so much now.So much for no price gouging!

That's price gouging. Don't be put off. Let your fingers do the walking on your mobile and contact another dealer. It will be your gain. My ordered auto with all on road costs, dealer delivery charges including a paint protection and an interior protection treatment is $61,490.

$1,450.00. I know I could have definitely gotten it much cheaper by organising it myself elsewhere, but one thing I have previously experienced with Ford with their paint protection and interior treatment products they do back up their warranties.

I'll be telling them to shove their paint and interior protection up their ***. Mine will be going to Elite Finish for Opti-Coat Pro protection all over!

They were trying to charge me just under $2500.00. Each dealer is different with pricing, swings and roundabouts really.

That's appears to be true especially when I read the thread that one of the dealers in Perth wants $75k for a car. I think the statement you have got to be kidding is an understatement! For that price it would cheaper to order and transport a car from Adelaide.
