Looked at an early model XB Coupe today. Has a 351 with 2 Auto Gearboxes to go with it but both are not in the car. Has everything to go with the car, interior etc and wants $6500.00 for it. Engine bay not to bad, Pleniums looked quite good but the roof is fairly shagged as is all the other common stuff that goes on an XB coupe. Would need someone who is very talented with a mig welder...........

I'm on the lookout for something like this for a new project but QLD is a bit far to travel from Melb. If anyone knows of a XB/C Roller or complete car for sale please let me know.

Thanks Graeme

I guess it would depend on how well the rebuild had been done 5 years previous. If it was good, and just a case of plonking in a good V8 and auto - maybe?

To many unknowns when they're stripped and in pieces like this. There is also no way of knowing what it's like under the paint.

In these circumstances there should be a significant discount for the risk involved with the "unknown".

I would say $15k (tops) as it is if he purports to have all the parts.

If he has all the parts that have been stripped bagged and tagged and none are missing and he has taken lots of good photos of the body and paint work the risk is reduced and the price would increase.

Yeah I wouldn't contemplate buying a 'restored/rebuilt' car without seeing photos of the rust/panel work.

Ahhh - again I mean. Found out the hard way how not to buy a coupe. :

Looks like someone spent a lot of time and money on it to this stage. Love the white interior.

Paint code 6 mulberry metallic?

Doesn't appear to be any hint of it in the pics. Still a very solid coupe for the money.

A mate sent me this link. This makes Pat's Mad Max look even more mint than it is (I know that sounds Irish). What do we think?

Pretty tidy & looks to be one of the better examples - hefty price tag also
