Default JVC's New Headunit

I thought I'd post about this, in case others don't know about it.

For a while we have talked about replacing the Factory 2 Din CD Player, with something else.

Kenwood had a 2 Din CD Player out for a while, but it retailed at something like $2.4k.

JVC have just released a 2 DIN DVD/CD/MP3 Player. Not only that it has SD capabality. And it has a 6.5" Screen.

4 x 50W Max.

Check it out:
http://www.jvc-australia.com/product...ls.asp?ID=1495

Price wise, they Retail at $1.5k. You can probably pick them up for about $1.3k... Or $1.1k on eBay.

Compared to the others out there, it's up there.

Pioneer have a 6.5" motorized screen for around ~$1.5k. And these JVC units should sell at about ~$1.3k.

I'm looking at a motorized 7" screen anyway.

Cheers

My mate spent an absolute BOMB on an Alpine unit couple of years ago and has had plenty of trouble with the screen getting stuck before it folds all the way up to watch.
That JVC thing looks awesome.

I'm thinking of something like this setup:

JVC Also. And JVC have 5 year warranty on their gear. That's 5 Years

I have 2 single din JVC DVD players (DV-6105) - one in each car - and have had no problems with either of them. The good thing about the single din players is that, at a glance, they look no different to the JVC CD players.

Looks like the unit i was going to buy at the nats last year. Special price $1200 with free installation. Apparently you can hook it up to the cars computer and monitor speed, temps and other diagnostic stuff on the screen.

I wonder if it has a bling meter you can monitor. :

I think i'm gonna pass on the whole screen setup, and just stick to a straight MP3/CD Headunit.

I'll look at upgrading my stereo a bit later.
