replace it.

I dont know if there are any fixes. It should only cost a $150-$200 to replace it and you will have a brand new one in there. If you leave it it will only get worse. It happened in my ea, started off just a small section dropped a little at the rear, i just left it, a couple of months later the whole thing was down around my ears. I think somepeople replace it themselves, o get a decent one from wreckers and replace whole roof lining, but if you gonna do it, you may as well do it properly. It cost something like $160ish in my ea to get it removed, taken off and redone. I think it was actually the foam underlay separates from the hard lining itself. The just rip it off and redo it. You could try taking it out, and if its near an edge, re-glueing it, but i dont know how that will come out. Just ask around a few places and get prices, or even try wreckers, but you could have the same prob in another couple of months.

The extra heat and humidity of your Northern state wouldn't help the glue in the lining either I would think.

All the best with it.

Open the yellow pages and look up auto trimmers..... They will be able to fix it....

The fabric is attatched to the padding! It is a very thin layer of foam which is bonded together. What is happening is the foam is deteioriating (sp) and coming apart. I get them replaced for $120 for a ute, $150 for a sedan and $200 for a wagon.

SR, Where you at?

There has been an ad on TV for a upholsteror in Townsville, for replacing roof linings for $150. I have to visit him myself.

my daughter had her Commodore roof lining replaced recently for $80.

Guy in a van comes to you and has the whole thing (I forget what the "base" is called) which he exchanges. Takes about an hour.

She's out with mates atm but I'll see if she's got the info when she gets home.

edit: doh! He probably won't commute to T'ville. Sorry, I thought that you were in Bris.
