Chairman's Award: Chairman's Award - Issue reason: Your outstanding contributions to this community have not gone unnoticed. IN my view you are a worthy recipient of the (rarely used) Chairman's Award.
Default Spirit of Tas & Rego

Does anyone know if the Spirit automatically transmits all onboard vehicle registrations to Transport Tasmania?

I want to re-register a Tas plated car but can’t physically return it (without excessive cost) before the registration expires late December. It will probably be March before that’s practicable.

Whereas I can fly in one morning in January, go straight to Service Tas, submit my change of garaging address, pay the rego and fly back to Sydney that afternoon… If they don’t ask for proof of where the car is. :-/

As I'm aware of they don't; usually they use the registration as a means of identifying what type of vehicle it is so they know the measurements for storage and appropriate cost for transport to and from to Tasmania.
Have you actually rang them with your question?

You probably could use Toll's as they have their own transport ferry.
