Hi guys, I am having some trouble removing the pull type light switch on the dash of my XY. According to the manual, there should be a clip or button underneath/behind the dash which will allow the switch to be removed. However mine either doesn't exist or is completely encased by the dash itself.
If anyone has any ideas about this your help would be appreciated. |

Yes there is a spring loaded button on the outside of the headlight switch body, you hold this in and pull the knob and shaft out of the switch. its just a bit fiddly finding the button and the shaft should pull out easy, dont use to much force.
Then you need to unscrew the bezel with a large flat blade screw driver where the knob and shaft came out. |

first disconnect your battery,as you will most likely push some wires around under dash while removing the switch.
/////////when you put your hand up under dash you will feel the large part of head light switch body with your fingers, feel on top of it (big flat area)and in middle of this there is a small spring loaded button that will wobble around a little under your fingers just push it in and with your other hand pull the headlight switch knob straight back and out.

Sometimes you have to give the switch shaft a hard push to get it to click into place.Might go in easier if you reach up to the switch and push in the little spring loaded button in at the same time
