Default au ford shift patterns

Hey guys,

Just wondering if anybody knows how i can change shift patterns on an au falcon? Can a flash tuner do the job?

Regards, Alex

alex,
specifically what are you looking at changing?
scaling all the shifts up or down? , or otherwise there are full manual controllers available for the BTR's

Changing the down shift pattern it jumps from 3rd to second really late causing an engine stall. It probably has to do with changing my gear ratio from 3.23 to 3.45 lsd.

just changing the diff ratio without swapping the speedo cog will make no difference to the shifts in relation to tailshaft speed.
id recommend first cleaning the throttle body and reset the base idle, thats more likely the cause of your stalling.
try disconnect the isc when its idling, it should continue to idle, if it stalls do the above and it should help

Lets just say it's not a standard AU haha. It's got a barra turbo engine, high stalled and built btr box in it and I have fixed the issue. Went down to the wreckers today and bought an AU ghia ECU, ghias come factory with 3.45 gear ratios. The car shifts excellent now and at the right time. Prior to the ecu swap I would be in 4th gear at 50ks which was very annoying. Because it's a series 1 it was plug and play. Goes much nicer now

Yeh mate, the crank angle sensor wire which we tapped into the AU ecu was wired in reverse. After I switched the wires around the aircon and the water temp works. My ECU is also getting an RPM signal now.

Cheers, Alex.
