Never saw any novater doing deliberate kms unless they were only marginally short. I was short a couple of years after spending 2 months flying on business, just had to take it on the chin as ATO just saw kms, reasons werent relevant, leasing isn't always the joyride it's painted to be. See plenty of company vehicles getting shuffled around to keep their FBT component down though. Cheating in its own way by the strict letter of the law.

It's all systems go at Ford getting their stockpiled lease cars out. Geelong has over 500 cars waiting for pre-delivery and rego, most of them Territory and Falcon. Not sure how many Broady have but the numbers must be decent.

I work in leasing and can say that 1 week post election has seen a definate increase in the number of quote requests and enquires but no spike in orders yet.
There were some with quotes in hand from last week who ordered this week but what I was told by some of ther bigger operators is that they will be ordering later in the month once the go through all of their internal checks and balances. A lot also simply extended their leases for 6 months so the massive spike in orders just has not eventuated this week. |
