Default 20" tyre size help ..

Just a quick question ..

I have 20" Dark Argents with 225's all round that i'm thinking of getting rid of.

The new set of 20's i'm looking at have 245's on them .. I was told the 245 will hit the shocks on the fronts, is this true?

I dont have them but I believe that is correct yes, the sizes are very limited in terms of what will fit.

245/30R20's is what you need to fit to clear the Ball Joint.

I went from 225's to 245's on my BA with 20's & it looked heaps better.

Yeah that's the size being supplied and nothing was mentioned about any rubbing in the front but another shop said the fronts rub but the rears are fine at that size.

The rim is 8.5" wide with the 245 tyre ... On the front will these stick out past the guard? or stay inside it? I'm about to buy these wheels but don't want too order them if they're not going to look/fit right ..

They should sit inside the guard if they are 38 offset - we have fitted a few 20's on falcons with 245/30/20 and never had any issues with scrubbing

I might be a bit late answering your question mate but I have 20's with

245's x 30 on the front and 275's on the

rear, guards are rolled all round and pretty low

only hear a slight rub going over bumps or waves

in the road. To answer your question they wont fowl

up on the front ball join or control arm, with a 38 offset

they won't stick out.

Yep, Im running Ultralows all round, 20x8.5 (+38) on the front with 20/30/245 tyres and no issues after the guards were rolled.

My problems are on the rear with 20x10 (+32), 20/30/275.
