Management visit at least 3 or 4 times a year, so its no big deal.

Announcement will be the 2015/16 Falcon. What form it will take.

Calender is always set by this time of year for the following year.

The Monday before the Melbourne Cup and the day itself are always holidays.

US management comes down regularly to review work on domestic cars and FoA's international stuff,
after FoA's brilliant effort on Figo for India, they became the experts in squeezing dollars from older
platforms, first old Fiesta for Figo and now old Focus for Chinese car, reported in the press last year.
They've gone silent on this one so I suspect that things are at a delicate stage but I guess we will hear
all about it in the near future...

This would be the future large car platform announcement. That and what Broady will be making after 2015/2016.

If anything, which worries me. Unless RWD has some future sharing components with Mustang (front and rear suspensions, engines, gearboxes) and Lincoln (as a Town Car, with Four or Five engine choices, shared with Falcon), I think we're not really going to like the news that will be given.

That being said, the Falcon platforms are still profitable.

The future of Falcon won't be announced just yet, according to this article:

Oooh that's gotta burn.

Could it be the case that Detroit really doesn't care what happens to the Falcon as long as the business case remains viable?

We're only talking a small market for here in Australia and you probably find that Dearborn is unconcerned
so long as the business plan says they make will money then all will be well..manufacturing is the big question....

One Ford is about reforming major markets and ending duplicated products, not small markets like Australia,
if another RWD Falcon costs the same as a redesiged\a global FWD/AWD then the Falcon will get the nod..

There are still Excursions on the road?! They haven't produced that vehicle in half a decade. I'm surprised people still drive them considering the fuel prices in the US now. I'm surprised people are still driving Expeditions, even.
