Hi
just wondring if anyone can tell me the size of an AU1 Forte sway bar? and if it is a benefit in changing to a 27 mm bar? |

A set of callipers on the bar is the only way to make sure what size you currently have. IIRC, AUs came out with 28mm swaybar, but some had 24 and some 30.

just called two Ford spare parts and they both said it should be a 28mm, i was thinking of replacing it with a t series which is only 27mm????

AU1's had 27mm bars, and the upgrade was 30mm.
AU2/3's had a different mounting point with greater leverage, so a smaller bar achieved the same result. 24mm was standard, and 27mm was the first upgrade, and then onto 30mm.

AUI Sedan, Ute and Wagon has 28mm Front Bar, T Series is 27mm which fits all models.
AUII/III have 24mm, 26mm and 22mm, there is a 23mm bar that could be used on AUII/III that is fitted to a BA. |
