Default Dash Cluster ??

Does anyone know if the dash part should light up at night in the section that has the DTE ,1,2,3,4,R , Cruise display on the speedo on the Xr6 Au?

cant see mine at night but the rest of the guages are fine.

would it be just a bulb?

cheers

Should light up I'd say! Probably a bulb!

yeah i had the problem that only half of the lcd was working the odometer part and not the dte part. just pull the cluster out and there is 2 bulbs in behind that part. get them replaced or with the cluster half sitting out with lights on give them a few turns as it could just be bad contact as mine was

cheers

The LCD bulbs (S2-3) are about $6 each from Fraud. They are the ones with the green backing and are smaller than the other cluster bulbs. I recently replaced mine, using a small flat head screwdriver and tiny pliers.

Be very careful with them though, as these bulbs are quite delicate. I broke a few getting mine sorted.

Cheers,

GK

Just the two bulbs at the bottom of the cluster, for anyone else doing this it is a piece of pi$$, undo the two screw and pull the cluster out and unplug the 3 push in plugs.
