Recalls like this make me wish I owned a Toyota, you get the sense that they care about customers experiences.

Toyota only started "caring" when they got caught out. They are the most boring, overrated, average appliance of a car. Even Hyundai is ahead of Toyota now in my opinion.

Its a different story here in Aust.
Most Toyotas here hold their value and are very reliable. The Hilux series litteraly are unbreakable and treated to the worst conditions on some farms. Sure they are "bland" and boring... but their reputation here has been pretty good.

I recieved this yesterday as part of the inhouse recall advicement... media already knocked it, yet they "forgot" to tell people this has only happened in SEVERE cases... poorly serviced vehicles who use badly corrugated roads. Most of these vehicles are actually from mining companies.
