Driving lights will be hard wired in with the high beam. In the case of the F250 it should be clearly set out in the drivers manual/log book. Also they will have certain numbers on the glass denoting what they are. See previous treads for the numbers, there are numerous ones.

Read what I said bud -My brother has an 05' F250, it runs the driving/fog lights automatically with the headlights. I'm sorry you have a chub for this kind of technicality but it doesn't really worry most people.

Spoke with a few different Police Officers through my work about this and they have said quite simply that they have better things to concern themselves over than fog light fines. They did say that between them (5 different cops) they have given 2 fines and both of those were going to be warnings but the people were smart so copped the fine instead.

They did also say that if the 'fog lights' were super bright they would pull the driver over just for a warning but again, if the person is a smart alec they would get the fine instead.

Remember this is not from a wide range of cops, just a few I have thought to ask recently.

A mate of mine in a BF XR6 got a ticket for having the lights on the day after this new law came into force. Cops probably got excited about a new revenue raiser and have now cooled down. I flash my fog lights (as you do with high beam) at people with fog lights on. Has never made a difference but it makes me feel better. Even flashed a cop car once. The divided highway I travel daily is one where the two roads are not at the same level in many places. When morons with fog lights on are coming at you on the high road the lights are straight into your eyes. Don't tell me they are not bright at eye level. I have been blinded many times from this. Just switch them off or use them only in foggy conditions - what they were designed for, duh! For the "look at me- look at me's" out there. Paint your car dayglo if you want to be seen that much. Why not give the cops a big hammer so they can turn offenders fog lights off permanently. Some people just don't seem to understand.

Who cares about the look at me syndrome...
If its safer its safer.. I must admit I turn mine on when out on the highways a silver car is NOT always easy to be seen..
Low beam is is for night driving too so where's the difference..
Plus as has been said before bike clubs etc tell there members to ride with lights on..
To be seen and safe.. For the same reason..
If you think or have concerns about the look at me syndrome ??
Then that's another issue and should see a specialist about it!!!
Sheesh talk about a storm in tea cup !!!
Things happening in this world and we are debating fog lights...
Sheesh !!
