I wonder if FPV owners are ready for an engine that does not suck or will they not have a bar of it. Consumer acceptance is manifold in maintaining sales momentum and pressure from above can often move things more quickly.....

Have always gone the V8 way, so my hyperthetical choice would be the GT-H, the biggest & baddest of the breed for me - plus factor is the other half always lets me drive which is a good thing.

yeah, I know. Was not having a dig...just stating the obvious.

Although I have to say if the Coyote is as light as it is touted to be and add's to better balance dynamics...then yes...I concede I'd go the GT-H...sans all the nostrils, LED's, Shaker etc. as mentioned...I prefer a little bit more subtlety and stealth...just me.

I guess when I really think about it now...I'd probably want something along the lines of an XR8 but with 350+ Kw...400 maybe, and monster anchors but maybe Alcons...I guess I don't need all the soft bit's traditionally reserved for LTD/Fairlanes/Fairmonts that add all the lard to recent GT's.

So I guess a GS with 400Kw and 6 piston Brembo's...

I'm sure many people looked down the list and picked the car with the most KW.

Like real life, there are also more V8 variants than I6T variants in this pole, though that alone isn't enough to skew/sway the poll i dont think (also like real life)

I'm mildly curious as to the reason for the poll; just for giggles, light hearted research, trying to make a point etc.

Just curious, could add value to the discussion.

Cheers,

I voted GS, but would have to see the options lists to make the call. My ideal choice would be GT on the outside, GT-E on the inside, GT-H under the bonnet in manual form thankyou.

But Ford won't build anything like that, so more than likely I would take the GS and throw on the options that would lux it up a bit.

Dave.

i'm looking at model specfic, the v8's are winning luxo, performance.
i mean their only 10kw difference, even the GS is doing better than the six.

Coz we have had the I6T for a few years....the promise of an exciting V8 getting back in the lead is to juicy for people to walk away from.

In saying that, If the options were still boss motors you would find the I6T would be in contention again.

Im not saying anything is necessarily wrong with the boss motor, I just believe the I6T burst out of the gates and got alot of people excited, while the boss just didn't live up to peoples expectations.

That's something every prospective HSV buyer said when E2 was released.

I will take none of those and opt for the XR6T, thanks

I don't see why it wouldn't still be the best car in the Ford lineup come 2011.

What the HO happened to the 351 GT reported in Wheelie Mag earlier this year. For me the the GT-H will have to be the option.

Because this is an FPV hypothetical perhaps?

I voted the F6-E because I love the under-stated look of luxury performance cars. Much like when you pull up behind a BMW 335i, it looks just like any other 3 series, until it takes off...........
