The Pedestrian Council over the years has recieved RTA funds (grants) for 'walk' and 'push-bike' events.

Harold was and is Executive Director of Ausflag, the change the flag lobby group.

http://www.ausflag.com.au/ausflag/directors.html
http://www.ausflag.com.au/ausflag/ausflag.html
http://www.ausflag.com.au/

As a former Mosman Mayor (Syd-NSW) he lobbies public servants whatever the agenda he is on at the time, and governments, particularly Labour. He attends 'meetings', 'get togethers' and is non-stop in those efforts.

He does have the ear of governments and parties and only electoral backlash will keep any of his more extreme measures out of our lives. Apathy does not do the Australian populace good, when such characters are 'personally and doggedly motivated'.

Be warned.

Welcome comment there. Nothing is ever more dangerous than a fanatic especially a self serving one. Rather than wasting time and energy posting to Harold and his band of loons. You are better off letting the politicians of the day know that Harolds ideas are on-the-nose, and are vote losers not vote winners.

Govt make the decisions and noisy little fanatics like Harold will have their ear whenever they think there's a vote in it. Scruby isn't the decision maker but he is a very noisey and well positioned piece of static. Apathy gives lunatics like this a voice!

Its pitiful that organisation like NRMA ar more likely now to back loonys like Harold that their own membership. NRMA don't represent my interests, so I withdrew my financial support to them, I encourage others to do the same.

Why stop at tinted windows? You could EASILY conceal a bomb in the boot of a car. Everyone can drive around with clear boots. Bonnets and doors too.

Numbers plates are hardly difficult to steal. All of four screws!

No you fool, if a suicide bomber couldn't conceal his identity he wouldn't do it! He might have to go to jail or something!

Great work!

I subscribe to that magazine also, so I could serve both facets of the automotive industry in which I hold an interest.

I still think crapping on his car bonnet would be fun...

Brewing one up as I type!

This Scruby knob (putting it very nicely) is the guy that had a big hand in getting the AWD Magna add on TV (the one that had AWD Magna Vs Commondore and Falcon on the pine forest road) taking of the air, he says it promotes drag racing at trafic lights.
He gets his nose into anything and just stuffs it up, public nusence.

I did the same about a year ago as I felt they no longer represented the interests of the motorist - this was due to every issue of "Open Road" magazine publishing letters from whining do-gooders about speed kills. Their further failure to act against Scruby just validates my withdrawel.

i hope NRMA are reading this forum...

What good will jumping in front of his car do, he sounds like one of those guys who drives a little excel or something. Seems to me the car would get more damage to it than the person.

Unbelievable!

Oh and Young'un, you rock. Go on, do it. Wear your underpants on the outside, save us from this John Laws/Alan Jones/Fred Nile clone.

NRMA? I gave up on them, finally, this year after being a loyal customer for over 13 years... after they tried to charge me $488 and $240 for Green Slip and TPP insurance respectively. AAMI offer the same thing for $313 and $153.
