Are the any unopened street tyred 260's doing 12's?
(not MT's)

No mate, im pretty sure there are not. There is one 290 GT i know off, it would take the meanest of XR8's to do it!!

Ive run a 13.006/109 and a few 13 flats am thinking of having a go at a 12 improving with what ive got as ive only been down the strip once with 2.16 60' pb.

13's on my street rubber in the 290 ute, manual. Got a 12.99999 on MT's once. This was with all bolt ons and tune.

Unopened ???? If you dont count oil pump gears

I have stepped up a league now though......

Atleast you finally got that 12 before you stepped it up...

i was just wondering because ive never heard of an unopened xr8 on street tyres doing a 12 and i think my car is capable

Rich (Hot460) did a 13.0@109 on factory dunlops in his BF XR8 6sp auto, mods hedders only, cai and tune, added 3.23 gears and did a 12.85.

My bad spoke to him last night, he did the 13.0 on dunlops and the 12.85 on MT streets. Only know of Daboss that did a 12.4 on his streets in his 290 which is a very good effort indeed.

Yes mate i did it last friday at calder. 12.6 @ 175kmh on toyo ra1's. Unopened if you dont count oil pump gears.

Yes they are street tyres but about as sticky as MT streets, correct me if Im wrong Jayba but I think he means normal street tyres eg: factory dunlops etc.
And is yours a 260?

yeh i meant street radials, they are like a semi slick, STILL a very impressive time what was the 60' with those tyres (auto ot manual) do you have a high stall?

My 60ft was 1.8 and i have a 3500 dominater in it. Still wasnt able to stall it up as it would just spin.

Just spent all weekend stripping my ute, changing the suspension,brakes and fitting caltracks with slicks and lite weight wheels. Time to get some serious times OR break something...... :

Get there earlier I think you rolled up a bit late last time, if your ready to go at 6pm you will get 3 runs in row without any problems..
weather Friday min 7 deg, Max 11 deg.... Says showers hope they stay away..

is your tailgate removed for those runs?

a and could you describe how you found the car after the stall was changed would you recommend it on the street does the car feel like its losing top end after the stall was fitted?

Yes mate tailgate was removed and i would highly recommend a stall.
Top end is fine and it wakened up it up down low.I would even consider going bigger personally, thats how suttle it is on the street.4500 would be nice :

few years ago i ran 12.55 with full car, full exhaust, interior, tailgate, with a 3000 converter, on worn et's good luck good to see someone out there giving it a go,

Strongly thinking about it. Wanna run in full street bar the spare to see what I can get now the diff is back up and running properly. Looks like there is a strong chance of rain but if I do go I will definatly say g'day and help out how ever I can with the HOK stuff.
