Hi does any one know about power windows?
My AU Fairmont series one will power down the passenger window but wont power it up unless I rock the switch a dozen or so times (the master switch) while the better half rocks the passenger door switch at the same time and the window might come up is there a relay of some sort I can check? I have taken the switches apart and scraped the "see saw" terminals to no avail Mine are the curvy illuminated type of switch Thanks JOHN (still looking for a rear wing for a BA in Mercury silver and also 2 XF Fairmont or Ghia front door trims) for my ute PS I swapped front to back switches but nothing thats why IM thinking relays or something |

Hi thanks I tried that and also swapped them around but still no luck My switches are on the arm rest of the door not on the console maybe Fairmont ones are in a different spot
I had a look in the wreckers and I also found there are diferent switches between models Forte ones are not the same as Fairmont ones thanks John |

when you first move the switch can you hear the window motor try to turn or not? try giving the runners a spray with silicon lubricant or similar and see if it helps
