Default AU Audio make over

Since my 6 stacker decided to say Goodbye, i decided on a In dash DVD player and screen. I choose the JVC silver model as i thought the all black units would look boring and plain, So in went the silver Double Din unit in silver, it matches in with the other silver bits and pieces.
Its has multiple angles like most do so when its on it doesnt look weird as the angle sets it of nicely. Now all i need is a reverse cam to hook into it. It also plays MP3's/VCD and all WMA things and is IPOD ready with changer control and Dolby 5.1 which i wont use.

Heres some pics.

Took me most of yesterday to mount it properly and for the wiring as i didnt want to cut my wires i purchased the AU audio connector from Supercheap Auto for $15. Looks like a pretty decent fit in the dash i think.

Looks great - those aerpro harnesses make the installation so easy - all the wire connecting is done out of the car, and then just plug into the loom, and throw the radio in after spending hours getting the bracket monted right.

Thanks JC your pics on yours pushed me to the silver one lol as i think even the single din in your wagon looked good and suits well, so thankyou.

Yeah the bracket took some time and some kind words out loud got it all in, in the end im happy with how it looks even if the dash is a weird shape it still matches in pretty decently.

No worries mate. My dash shots to help with your car, and your old 3" intake to help mine - fair's fair!

Looks great mate, Suits the car very nice.
I was thinking of gettin a double DIN DVD player myself. The only concern I had was that if the screen is still 100% visible and clear during the day.. Is it? lol

Nice...

I'm in the process of collecting bits for my audio upgrade as well.

I'm thinking about this:-
http://www.ryda.com.au/Kenwood-DDX-8...-p/ddx8047.htm

or this:-
http://www.ryda.com.au/Pioneer-AVH-P...vhp6850dvd.htm

I'll get my speakers and amps organised first and then decide...

mmm i think the pioneer should be a better unit as they have released alot more monitor type setups over the years...
and a much more widely known company to make GOOD gear..

Yeah thats the only thing with it as its not detachable but i dont leave my car many places as when we go out we take the other car.

This unit suits all my purposes for the price it is, im not in this for competition and would rather spend my hard earned on some new cats and di-filippo headers and a few other bits and pieces.

Its plays dvd's and mp3's, has sub control and is multi-angled motorized screen its good enough for me. Miles ahead of the factory unit anyways
