Default AU keyless entry - help with two-stage modes

Hi everyone,

Does anyone know how to change the keyless two-stage entry back to one-stage? My usual keyless thing went flat over the weekend, so am using the other set and it's two-stage.

The manual only defines how to put it into two-stage.

Regards,

Andrew.

This is for a S2-3 right? If so, just push both buttons together for about 6 seconds, the locks will cycle etc and the job is done!

Ahh, cool, that's done it, thanks! Perhaps the manual should have stated that it actually toggles the modes.

Cheers,

Glad you got it sorted. Ford did design a clever keypad IMO. I love the way batteries are easily replaced!

Umm, well I opened mine to get the battery and found one of the soldered contacts had broken from the board, so I tried to carefully slip out the spring-loaded battery and then the other contact broke. I hope it was just due to age and not me. I had a few issues with the unit working over the past few months so I'm thinking the contacts from the battery holder to the board were poor.

I have to get it re-soldered I suppose.

I just solder em up, boss thinks im a champ cos it saves him $50 per remote to replace.

I win!

My solder is stuffed.

You do know the remote on the ebay add above is for a ute not sedan or wagon. It has no tailgate button.
