So no Jambo for me......found out the problem from last meeting seems to have broken converter. It must have sustained some damage from when the flex plate broke. We don't have enough time to get it sorted so my meet is over before it began. Bummer!!

Yeah you and me both! Hopefully it won't be long before we are back out again. Will be interesting to see just how damaged the converter is. Hopefully its not too bad.

On a brighter note - I went and saw Pete at Elf trailers down at Ingelburn and ordered me a sweet new trailer. Highly recommended and can't wait to get the trailer in the next 3-4 weeks. Having my own trailer is the last piece of my racing puzzle. I will now be self sufficient and that was an important milestone for me to get to. Can't wait!!!

Yeah I didnt really have a budget initially either, so have gone for an open trailer. I was looking for something under $5K if possible - to get started.

Style of trailer is below. It features a hydraulic lift with short ramps and under carriage storage. Also has electric brakes and electric winch mounts.

Very true - fairly simple and effective. Just what I was after. Cost effective enough that I still have some resources for the car.

like Bluepower said if it gets you to the track, that's all you need. you going to be towing with it up to Jambo/interstate etc? sometimes there is some good deals happening a few of the guys get together and chip in, works out like $500-$600 a car there and back. all enclosed so can't get damaged.

got my turbo's for my car from DLM yesterday, you know you want to go Precision

you gonna run at the APSA event in May? you can race in PSB (Pro Street Blown) be good to see your car there. might attract a few more newer style/engined cars to come and race.

Turbos look sweet - congratulations! Can't wait to see your car out and racing!

Not sure about the event in May. I am hoping to be back out at he test n tune on the 28th of April. Converter has been sent off to be be looked at and the box will have to be pulled down and cleaned as some fine metal went into it from the converter. Let's hope it only needs cleaning and doesn't have any damage!!!

Hopefully we can still get it back on the dyno for a little more love before coming back out. I am keen on getting the two step sorted before we come back out so that I can get some more practice racing the tree.

Perhaps I will flick Spiro a message. I haven't actually done that yet....

we have alway run best 60' and times at track championships, i think this time out we are going on radials and throwing some weight in, we need to practice with a 275 radial and weighing over 3200lbs.

Yeah back on deck. Made it out to the TNT last weekend for a couple of hours but didnt get a chance to try and find you guys to say hello.

Car is back together and will be getting the two-step setup next week and go back on the dyno to see if we can push her a little harder.

Then its off to magazine shoot and hopefully to the track. There are not too many race days left at the moment, and I have some travel for work coming up, so will see where we end up.

Hows your beast coming along?

sweet as, it's coming together that is the main thing.

we were probably in the staging lanes waiting to run, spent most of the day there, was busy Joe pumped out some good numbers in the Capri, our first time on a radial, 200lbs heavier, full exhaust, 275 radial she ran 8.53, 8.49 & 8.42, mph was down to 162mph and 1.36-1.39 60's she is fattening up after about 7000rpm so need to lean her out. should be a mid 30 in her and 2-3mph, she was only picking up 31mph in the back half she usually gets 33-34mph when she is all sorted. we are happy, left the line nicely.

mine goes in to GrooveRyders next week, do the intake pipe and a few other things, im pushing but not pushing if you know what i mean, i want to make sure we have all the i's dotted and t's crossed as quickly as possible without cutting corners.

Yeah fair enough. I know what you mean, short cuts only mean longer term pain. I am hoping to get mine into Speedfab sometime over the winter to look at some weight reduction and a new alloy dash. Should be nice when its done.

I saw the capri get one pass. It did leave the line nice, so you gotta be happy with that on radials. Track seemed good, just a very slow day. Glad I wasnt racing as I woulda been pretty frustrated. The waiting kills me lately...

sweet as, have seen Speedfab doing a fair bit of stuff now. i had never heard of him till recently, i was actually at a wedding and his sister was sitting at our table (i started swearing in Croatian, she is Croatian also) after she told me about him i started to see stickers on cars (Scott Cousins 2J Datto), one of Vince's customers had some work done by him he does nice work.

Hey Paulie, you know anyone who does good work with Lexan?? It would be awesome if someone made pre-made windows for a falcon? Otherwise I will add it to the list for Speedfab to do.

i had GrooveRyder do my windscreen. i'm not sure who else does, i know the place he got it from was around Smithfield, Wetherill Park. there is also a place in Penrith that my brother used for his Corolla, they were reasonably priced and did a good job.
