A bit dissapointing to see only around 162kW from a 2.5L engine, but on paper, the torque spec of 320nM @ 1500rpm seems to make up a S**t load for the missing kW. That would make is quick right off the mark, with no turbo lag at all..... theoretically.
It would seem they're only using a small turbo considering the "low" power output and max torque so early in the power band. It just asking to have a bigger turbo bolted on make it a real threat in straight line. |

It's not meant to be a very hot hatch. Wait for the RS for that... or Volvo S40/V50R...they're basically the same car. The ST is a variation of the S40 T5 today.
