Last night I had a bit of spat with my best mate. He was howling and barking at the front door on and off from about 11pm till about 3am, with no sleep for me in between. Despite several attempts to calm him down in between, I finally lost my temper at the 3am mark. He's such a gentle soul, shouting at him really frightened him and, as a result, I hate that and feel terrible. In the end, I had to put him in the bedroom with me and closed the door.
Cockers are so clingy and naturally anxious, when something isn't quite right, they are very hard to deal with. I have a client that has always told me that humans and dogs tend to reflect each other's personality. Which when I think about it, I guess I'm also anxiety ridden and hard to deal with.

Ordered two Stihl branded T-shirts for work last week. It's surprisingly hard to find genuine branded stuff in this country, but I eventually found an online retailer willing to sell me some. It seems Stihl don't want anyone to buy this stuff outside a dealer.....................I'm not buying clothes from a lawn mower shop.
Said items arrived last Friday, one in the correct size large, one in the incorrect size small, they even invoiced it out like that. After checking my order to confirm it wasn't error on my behalf, I emailed the company and had the right one sent out immediately along with a return postage slip. Fine, I could deal with that. Except I was charged at the post office for the return. Hmmm, it wasn't my fault, so why should I pay for the return.

You shouldn't. Period.
I ordered 2 bedside tables for the other half at her request. Artiss Glass Mirrored 3 Drawer bedside table in silver. from the bunnos online department. The 1st one assembled well. The second one was mad wrong. The drawer slides were like 10mm to far apart and so on. Long story cut down here to: Emailed them with this: I ordered two Artiss mirrored side tables. The first one was constructed and is as expected. The second table had alignment issues from the start. When inserting the drawers, they do not sit on the tracks properly as the gap between both sides is too large. The drawers almost fall through. As far as we can tell, there is nothing that can be done to correct this as all parts are pre-drilled and configured onsite at the factory. I have attached photos to help visualise the issue. Could you please advise as to what replacement process is for this. Got a reply asking for pics video etc. I replied to them with this: Why are you making me jump through hoops here? I have already sent YOU pictures AND the relevant information about the faults. Why do I need to resend you this information when you already have it? Regards. blah blah blah. A new one arrived 3 days later. No postage, no hassle apart from their ignorance regarding my first email. So yeah. It should have cost you the same as it cost me / us. NILL. on a side note: I fixed the old one by adding a couple of washers to pack the plastic slides out a bit and it worked like a brand new Chinese one. So now we have 3. Cheers, One Mad Man

... when you have to wear a fork lift proximity arm band to let you know and the 'forkie' know that you are within 3 metres of his / her fork lift..
It vibrates on your arm, and sounds an alert on the fork lift that you are to close to, warning you of impending harm. So the procedure goes like this: Park in a loading / unloading bay. Open up the truck. - all while multiple fork lifts are operating around you - Remove the keys from the truck. Walk back to the dispatch orifice. Sign out the said arm band. Return to the truck to assist with loading / unloading (moving the curtains, boards, straps etc etc). Close the truck. Return to dispatch to sign out / return the arm band. Retrieve your truck keys. Be on your way. Like I say... you can't fix stupid. Maybe they have had a few to many 'near misses'. and here's the detector that's fitted fitted to each of the forklifts: Cheers, One very safety conscious Man

That doesn't really bother me. There are a couple of quotes that I tend to agee with -
"You want to support the businesses you want to be in business with." "Support the business that supports your business." Granted, two t-shirts are not going to have much effect on the Stihl business, but I've bought and relied on many Stihl machines over the years, which in turn has earnt both my business and theirs an income.

…AC compressor in my ute is galling up. Talk about rubbish timing. There’s nil leakage, it was either under-lubricated last rebuild or has simply reached service life.

Don't you just love this kind of a*sehole driver, particularly at Christmas time when parking spaces are at a premium.
He was already parked when we backed in alongside, we could observe him as he returned from where we sat eating. Didn't look to happy about us taking pictures of his departure. boofhead.

Meanwhile, driving from job to job yesterday, it was amazing to see the very poor driving standards on display, so much so that I decided to not go anywhere today. Countless people doing half the speed limit for no apparent reason, running red lights, tailgating..............................the most annoying being the idiots doing said half the speed limit approaching a green light, then as the light turns orange, suddenly they speed up to get through the intersection, leaving me to sit at the red light. I have to say, the amount of people how sit 10, 20, 30 km under the limit thinking they are being safe and that they have every right to drive as slow as they like..................it just creates agro on the road. It's also against the law to drive so far under the speed limit. So no, you don't have that right. And if you don't have the confidence to go the speed limit, then you should be handing in your license.

Went to crank up the Bbq last night to cook some pizzas as there was this big *** turkey cooking away in the oven.
It wouldn't light, didn't matter what we did. Turns out, after some collective thinking, that we hadn't used it since last Christmas so who knows what's inside the gas lines. Had to order pizzas from in town... |

Was there gas in the bottle? Don't be hatin on me for arskin... Did you remove the gas line fitting from the BBQ end and turn on the bottle to 'purge' and debris out of the line, and while doing so verify that you did in fact have gas? Was there gas or air coming out of the 'cooker hat'? Burner?, whatever it's called. Hey, just askin. I'm sure you'll get it sussed. Not to many scenarios for why she wouldn't fire up. Cheers, One trying to be helpful Mad Man
