It did hit close to home.
A friend of mine told me years before 9/11 that his father worked in the World Trade Center. I didn't know which tower. So I had to get in touch with him to ask about his father to make sure he was ok. What a relief to find out Kevin's father recently retired. We were both relieved yet heartbroken & devastated at the same time because we were lucky. He was lucky & his father too, tho his work mates & company in the North tower weren't ....several thousands of families weren't lucky. If Kevin's dad didn't retire when he did, .....hate to even think about it.
