Default Door sound deadener

Hello all,

I am wondering if anyone has removed the door trims on a MC Mondeo Titanium and noted if the internal door skin has any sound deadener or anti-drum material attached.

The reason I ask is that I had my 2 driver side doors replaced after an accident. They apparently came from overseas and took 4 weeks delivery. The panel shop has done a nice job transferring the interior trim and glass etc however, there is a different sound / feel to the new doors, bad not good.

On the original passenger side doors, if I close them, there is a nice solid 'thunk' and if I tap them with my finger it sounds muted.
When I close the new drivers side doors now, there is a hollow metallic sound and if I tap the outside of the door, there is a tinny sound like an aluminium sound.

What I am thinking is that perhaps the original doors have some sort of foam or material on the inside of the door skin that prevents these sounds and aids in sound-proofing?

So, if anyone has removed their door trims, or are about to, would you have a look and see if there is anything stuck on the inside and let me know please before I go back to panel shop to complain. Pics would be awesome. Much appreciated.
