Default Fitting Fiesta Accessories

Ok so I'm finally going to fit my accessories, namely the illuminated gear lever and illuminated entry plates. Had half the day off, so I thought I'd get this down pat very easily. Nope. Has anyone else fitted either of these accessories, as I can't find the fuse pad to connect the wires to? I should have just got Ford to do it but I'm such a tight *** I thought I'd be able to do it.

a) I can't find the fuse box to fit these. I can see the box when I remove the glovebox, but not the secondary bit?
b) How on earth do I remove the existing silver scruff plates?

Hopefully someone has done this so I can get myself out of this pickle! Thanks in advance. See attached photo.
