Exclamation Edit Profile Picture upload problem

Hi All,
No matter what I do I cannot upload a profile pic.
I go to choose file and select my pic (which is a 8KB gif file), and then save changes. The Gif then shows up in the window ok. But when I press the save changes button, I get this message:
There has been an error in the upload. Please ensure that the file has been correctly selected and that the upload has taken place successfully.
Any help would be appreciated.

Dimi
