Yep, dad got t-boned when he was 18, lost 1.5" out of his right leg, walked with a limp & sciatica for the rest of his life.
It got him off bikes for 30-something years before he bought a CX500, K100RS, R65LS, R100 LS and cycled his way through them before ending up with a '97 TL1000S which I'm pretty sure scared him enough his local bike workshop did more K's on it than he did. Its a shame, in some ways I think its sad he cheated the sausage creature, dementia got him in the end.

Back on topic of "Geez I hate that"
Why do you take so long to fix out junk, then get cranky when we get someone else to fix it? Well gee.... you get some of the most braindead critters in creation to fix your junk, then it breaks even worse and I need to go back in and undo all the damage they did while doing a backyard job of "fixing it"..... ever think that if I wasnt fixing someone elses bubblegum "fixes" I might get to do the real repairs a lot faster?

I’ve strained my lower back again, no idea how. It was sore all yesterday, improved overnight and got worse this afternoon. Currently floorridden.
I hate that! |

Feels like its never-ending sometimes. Dad back in hospital for another heart op after they found his stents were well blocked (1 was 90% blocked!) And I have diverticulitis again 🙄 almost ended up in the bed next to him. Hoping you come good quickly |

Did you have an Uncle Jack, a horseman? Hope the ‘itis responds to medication; haven’t forgotten how yours is pretty dire.
I went (hobbled) into work this evening for more punishment on my foreign orders; as I was about to leave at 21:15 a father/son team turned up with Camry on a snatch behind Dad’s fourby. Dead clutch hydraulics, they thought. So of course my conscience meant I had to help shuffle it uphill neatly into the forecourt bays, back pain or not. Another job for tomorrow and the place is beyond chockers already. |

2 things that came up today that I hate.
1st one was: affording someone else with to much intelligence.. by NOT checking for myself that they did their job correctly. Fixing someone else's mistake, which cost me 30 minutes in 36 degree midday sun with no shade restacking 4 pallets of empty foldable crates. Luckily for me I had 2 helpers, and we crushed it in around 30 minutes. Hate to think how long it would have taken me alone to do it. Grrr The reason why they fell over... even though I strapped them as hard as a morning woody... Cheers, One

We have now lost about 100.000 bees across two hives, or 40% of our total.
Why? Varroa mite weakened the hives, and hive beetle did the rest. It was really quick. Been heartbreaking to see the lost bees from these hives, the pheromone chain is busted and they are wandering the grass, paths aimlessly until ants torment them to death with hundreds of assaults. Extrapolating: What if Australia loses 40% or more, of its pollinated crop output this year? Hardly bears thinking about. So many people have the “kitchen tap” mindset - you turn it on and good water comes out. Ditto for produce. What if it suddenly isn’t there, if we have no dates to sell overseas, no stone fruit in our orchards, and people are being told to pay quadruple the price for chilled airfreighted “fresh” goods? I hate the fact that biosecurity has been treated like a joke. That’s why we are here in this mess now, why my beautiful bees are dying. And it still doesn’t seem to rate in the popular mind. |

The effect of a hive queen is huge, it’s not just health but productivity and temperament. Hopefully he’s turning out something good.

Mum and I, and a rotating pool of others, go out for dinner every Tuesday night at our local bowlo. Whenever crackerjack is not on, we meet at 6:30. When crackerjack is on, and we're participating, we have dinner after bowls has finished.
A few rellies are in town atm, and my auntie asked if they could join us. No probs we'd had them join us before. But, because my cousins daughter is only 5 or so, they asked if we could meet at 6. They know it doesn't suit me because of my working situation. But that is irrelevant, right? To make it worse, my cousins daughter hardly ate, and it would have made zero difference if we had met a 6:30 To top it off, my mum forgot that, because I'm deaf in my right ear, it's more convenient for me to be seated at the right end of the table. They saved me a seat at the left end. It's only been five freaking years! Am I being petty that the rellies invited themselves but then asked to change the time to suit themselves? I'd never do that. Seems rude to me.

then you watch border patrol and watch how often a certain demographic who seem to believe its their god given right to bring whatever food they want from their homelands. it should be an instant return trip for them & their entire family residing in Australia and forfieture of everything they own in Australia MEANWHILE.... Grrrr drivers door lock actuator in the ute has been on the fritz since early last week, havent had to do one in a while, so ordered a 4 pack of rebuild kits, they turned up in the mail today, ripped the door apart, yanked the actuator, pulled it all apart on the bench, opened the first rebuild kit...... and the motor is missing the solder tabs to connect the wires!!!! Check the other 3 kits..... same bloody problem for ALL of them!

The real reality is this demographic is so embarrassed by whats shown on the tele they'll go out of their way not to be one of 'those people' Its the my land my rights, gov can't tell me what to do, sovereign citizen type that poses a far greater risk in my experience. Of which there are plenty.

My mum is part of that demographic, and from experience, when she gets caught, that only makes her more determined to not get caught in the future.

Air condition packed in yesterday. Did the ring around and found someone who was going to send a technician between 3 - 5pm today. Made sure I was home and ready, and of course, they were a no show and the office closes at 4pm, so no reply.
Virtually no chance of having it fixed before the weekend, and Monday is expected to be 41-degrees and also a useless public holiday. Not happy! I hate people who waste my time. Maybe my expectations are just too high.

I've swapped out just about everything over the years, usually just unplug, plug in parts. But if it's reverse cycle, I wouldn't have a clue, I'd be like you and call in a pro. Good luck.

Technician was here this morning, short answer, both condensers are royally fu.ked. And because of the unconventional nature of the house and the units installed, tracing the leaks means ripping apart half the house. So, they are most likely going to be replaced entirely, to the power of three. Caching $$$$$
