Boza, hes saying that includes the leads... its ~220 from summit for just the coilpacks.
i ended up paying around 330 for leads and MSD coilpacks (not MSD leads, but high quality)

$495 is not much of a special even if it includes leads. Mine cost me under $300 all up and dont waste your money on iridium plugs.

I asked the seller what the age and KM's of these coils are. Response below.
"The coils are off my 69 XT they were fitted about three years ago the car would be lucky to be driven once a month the odo doesn't work "

ok i'm a coilpack bimbo, please clarify..
1.) The MSD 8241's are the right item for an AU 175KW? 2.) What are some good leads (not hyper expensive) to compliment them? 3.) Same goes for plugs, recommendations? 4.) Does the setup really feel noticably different in the drivers seat or is it just the plecebo effect? 5.) Are there any decent prices in Aus yet as the one quoted earlier in the thread didn't seem very cheap. Talking about new items here

1) Yes
2) Have your choice of Eagle, ICE, or numerous others. Stay away from Top Gun. 3) Iridiums or if you dont like the price try BPR6EFS-13 4) Put it all on and see 5) Shop around the usuals like summit, jegs etc then look locally

g'day guys.
1. Are the 5.0's renowned for carbon build up on plugs? I used the NGK iridiums on my ef xr6 and they were fantastic. Took up to 1.5 years before they began look used really and always kept the gap almost spot on. Always used eagle leads too. 2. Are the 5.0's also known for a non-consistent solid spark? Ive seen quite a few people in e and au series buying the msd coils. cheers

Dont waste your money with Iridium plugs on the AU, use NGK BPR6EFS13 which is actually for the Holden 5L. Iridiums are a waste of time and money. I would also recommend you consider some new 02 sensors to help out with fuel economy should it be a bit on the high side.

had a look but wanted to get the MSD ones, my car is red and i wanted a bit of colour under the bonnet LOL am looking at gettin the red ford racing rocker covers aswell after i find out what has to be done to fit as they say you need to mod the intake a bit as there a bit taller. was lookin at changing the coils as the car was ideling rough on both petrol and gas but started using premium and getting my gas from supergas instead of a servo and installed a 3 inch system and it is runnin like a gem

Gday Reaper mate the coil packs I bought from those guys were red, have you emailed em tell them what you want. the colour scheme for your motor sounds good Ive put a bit of chrome in my ute.Just had nice lumpy crow cam put in and added some chrome valve covers but their profile is a bit 2 high so I was thinkin either 2 chrome the old ones or get them pro coated blue with chrome bolts, dunno any way have a chat to those blokes should be able to suppply red coil packs!
