Question Au Tailshafts

Any difference in tailshaft lengths from auto live axle rear end to auto irs rear end , AU S/3's.

when enquiring for a tailshaft for my au manual conversion it seemed to make a difference to everyone i spoke to although they might not know either, i have an au auto non irs tailshaft sitting here if ya after one

any difference in alloy to steel , why are standard au auto's speed limited to 180km/h yet xr autos aren't , people say tailshaft failure is the reason , yet xr's run the same shaft . ?????? maybe im missing something
