Great cruise. Even if a few of us got lost by following the wrong people. Good point is we managed to make up our own "private" cruise :hihi: Any way here's a couple of pics to start the ball rolling.

What a fantastic turnout with such short notice. I think 55 cars at one stage. Thank you to everyone who came along and brought a toy with them.
Unfortunately the Salvos had a big day yesterday with 1500 bikies and did not have anyone available today. But I have HALF my office filled with toys and they are coming to get them on Wednesday.
We also raised $312.25c to be added to the National amount raised today.
I could not beleive the turnout, and as is normally the case we ran out of hotdogs and drinks pretty quick.
I cant wait for next year when we have a lot more planning time and can make it big!

Thank you again everybody for making this a successfull day

PS How was the cruise?

g'day all..
gotta say a huge thanks to you all for coming out today, and making it happen
A massive thanks too to our sponsors, Burgess & Bird, CDAA,Tryinhere, and Container Reconditioning services. Without the assistance from you guys we couldn't have done this.

And of course, my Wife Lori, Paul and Mel, and Stu and Kathy, outstanding work with the snags and drinks!

Congratulations to those that won trophies, they were well earned. I was supposed to do the judging with Pete (doc), but i looked at the first two cars (red peppers Escort and cherie and family's XY GT) and realised i had no hope of picking the better car from the two, let alone the other 32+ cars there lol..
I checked out Petes points tally and there was not much at all between most of the cars.

Thanks to you guys that came from out of town aswell, we had some from Nairne, Jac and Eamon from mount barker, and a car from Wallaroo too

I think all up we had 34 or so cars? i never actually got the chance to count them.. I didn't even get a chance to go in the actual fort when they opened it :(
I think i didnt sit down at all either all day lol

The Salvo guy was 'over the moon' with our toy contributions. There'll be some very happy kids this Christmas

I did a tally of the proceeds for the day.. all up after costs for some of the food etc was covered, we made $365.80! Gotta be happy with that, well done guys'n'girls

A quick apology too for my 'speeches' (start of cruise, trophy presentation etc).. I've always had a bit of a phobia of public speaking, so when i have to do it, i usually end up mumbling and rambling etc..
bit like this post haha! (thats also a severe lack of sleep)

so anyways, thank you one and all

i'm gonna go unload the truck and go play in the dirt with a couple of the SA flatblack battle truck brigade

I think you set me up and handed me the hot seat

Yes there were many impressive cars all so close, but in the spirit of the day the real winners will be the smiles on a few more children / families this year.

In that FFAU forums, the sponsors and every person who attended with their families / cars can feel good about the day, without the massive SA support from everyone this could not have happened.

Phil you done a great job, in what i thought was a polished low key day and I'd bet your voted in again next year and that we will see an even bigger turnout for this great day.

Wow what a day.

Whoever thought up this wonderful event - Thank You - it was a brilliant idea.

To Kerri - your hardworking expertise at planning events on the hop and now with a 5 month bubba in tow is second to none. You did a great job (as always) and deserve a huge thank you from all of us that attended. So ... Thanks mate – you done good.

To AFF - thank you for donating the trophies - they just put an added little shine on the day and to my bookshelf too - cause we won one

To all the Brissy AFF Gang - well done guys - was a good turn out and a great day even if a little stinky hot! But hey it wouldn't be Chrissy in BrisVegas without the humidity!

To Zee - you are a wonderfully big hearted generous man and an inspiration to all. I know you are exceptionally modest and wouldn't want to be pointed out but honestly darl, you deserve a special mention. :

Merry Christmas to all the little kiddies out there that aren't as lucky as some - I hope these gifts can help give you a nice Christmas day and put a smile on your precious faces.

Cheers, Tori

Great day, although I'll probably feel the sunburn for the next few days! That cannon being fired in the fort was fantastic, I don't think anyone was expecting it to be that loud!

Next time hopefully my car will be in better condition, was just unfortunate timing that it was Friday morning I got sandwiched but hey, at least my car was still drivable for the event!

As I kick back on Christmas day I'll have a smile on my face knowing I helped a poor kid somewhere get a smile on his/her face...as should everyone else Australia wide who participated. Great effort on the part of AFF, each state organiser(s), the sponsors, and of course everyone who came along. WELL DONE!

Hey guys
Just wanted to say a huge huge thankyou to all the QLDer's that turned up and made the effort to be so generous for the children.

The day started cloudy, rained for a short time, then was typical QLD humid hot. Awesome day with awesome people for an awesome reason.
Thanks to the Smith Family representative (Laurie) for coming to collect the toys, he said to pass on many thanks to members for being so generous.
Two utes full of toys = lots and lots of happy excited children for Christmas :
We also raised $100 between the show entry fee, bbq and drink sales

Thanks also to Geoff aka goof for organising the ice cream truck.. the guy came just in time for us to all enjoy the yummy treats (he hadn't even parked properly before people were milling around him : )

Last but not least, thank you to (Brendan) the guy in the skyline that joined in the cruise, donated a toy but didn't feel right about parking his car amongst the fords. He was asked to bring the car in considering he was good enough to join in with it all

EDIT: A big thank you to the people that helped me on the day - couldn't have done it all without you guys: Zee, Roy, Lynton, Tibbo, the guy from xfalcon that I have forgotten your name (did judging), Daryl & Liz and Tori for taking care of my little princess for so long throughout the day. Amy thanks for helping take care of her first thing this morning whilst trying to get things started.
You are all fantastic
The show results are:

Best Exterior: Matt (FTR15)
Runner Up: Brendan (el_venom)

Best Interior: Garry (fordxdc)
Runner Up: Geoff (GSN03)

Best Under Bonnet: Chris (Black Mummba)
Runner Up: Brett (bigfeller)

Best Overall: Lynton & Tori (geckoGT & Penelope Pitstop)
Runner Up: Liz (Purple Flash)

Have to give a special mention to a member for going above and beyond and ensuring that there will be even more excited children Christmas day. Zee (zeepac) & his lovely wife went shopping with separate trolleys, in separate directions and met at the checkout. They bought enough toys to not only fill the back of his ute but the inside was pretty crammed too. Well done and a huge thank you Zee

Well done to all the other States, looks like everyone had a brilliant day

We had a video taken of the day and am fiddling with it a bit to be able to upload it for all to see...
Come on QLDers put your photo's up :
