Default Fords on Fire

This is a worry.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SickufwsPR8

I realise Kuga and Focus had some issues about catching on fire, but not the Territory.

Is there some other spin to put on this for Ford ?

Any reliable documentation about other makes and models that do this ?

Is this problem due to poor (thin ) insulation on harness cables and high value fuses ? ie Poor protection.

Not the best publicity for any make, however I have not heard of any instances of this ignition / fire in recent Falcons. I hope that stays the case !

Seriously the guy is a tool. How can you listen to him? Wow with his I'm trying to be hip hat. Is 'journalism' looks like he is auditioning for aca.

The Terri fire is the first I've ever heard. So it would be interesting to see what happened. If they were that case they would be on fire everywhere.

The Everest was a once off. As for the CS in the YouTube vid the 'straight shooting' journo drove a car giving him electrical problems for 3 days before it happened. You would think the guy would have called Ford and said there is a problem.

This guy seems to pander to morons.

Sadly there was no warning in the op that it was his site.

I detest giving that man clicks.

HAHAHA

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=M9T3dTAgpkc

I can just imagine the difference in the video, if this was a Terriotory / Ranger, VW, Merc or Audi.

Admitedly I watched a few videos...all train wrecks.. his tosser status is confirmed.

Was this ridiculous rant all because Ford wouldn't give the goose a car to thrash around under the guise of road testing??

Yes, he tells it as it is, if only we had politicians like this, or for that matter, print media automotive journalists.

He certainly lets us know the truth about Mercedes, and his exposes of Alfa Romeo far surpasses his comments on Ford. If I were the Boss of Alfa Australia, I would have obtained a legal opinion as to weather Alfa could sue him.

But lucky for us who want to be informed, the TRUTH is the TRUTH !

He is entertainment as well, a type of entertainment we are not allowed to have in the mainstream media any more.

What the Truth about Mercedes???

That it costs more to own a Merc than Mazda??

That if you by a mazda for 50K and Merc for 50K, the Mazda will be the top of the range and the merc the bottom of the range.

That it costs more to service a merc than a Mazda?

Well blow me down....I had no idea!!!

You better replace your current rides with a Hyundai or Kia...now that you a informed and know the truth..

It's called sarcasm mate, I don't need an auto expert to tell me Mercs, Audis and BMWs are expensive...

The guy's a fool, his target audience are fools. Are you a fool?

The only embarrassment is the youtube freak, his supporters are not far behind.

The guys is complete douche....I find it really hard to listen to him.

when you read his comments hes also a comlete lunatic..calling people names abusing them.

Most of his reviews are on paper not based on any driving experience, like reviewing a cake but not tasting it. They all have the same ingredients, but hey one tastes better than the other...

I hope everybody realises it is 100% possible to make a ''beat up'' about any product or person for that matter. It is as pointless as spouting off statistics as you can make stats support anything you like.
This guy has a brokerage business (suprise suprise) I can totally picture him talking himself up to a client saying how great 'insert here' investments are, not stopping to listen to the clients wants and expectations, because he loves the sound of his voice and he knows the ins and outs of all things financial.
So John, if your so successful in your brokerage business, why are you appearing on self funded look at me videos? Surely things aren't that bad that you have to dig around massively successful companies, looking for failings to point out to the consumer? I have started to see a pattern here John and you probably won't like the results. Could it be John that all of these online posts are a giant distraction from your life spiralling out of control? Your in a lot of debt and the business is not what you thought it would be is it John? Perhaps you would be a better person and a more successful businessman if you stopped putting down others and concentrated on yourself? What do you think John?

I almost feel sorry for him. How well you must be travelling when you have to carry on like that on you tube to try to 'be somebody'.

He's an arrogant tool, and because of the cocky confident way he presents his material, and uses big words and fancy sentence structure, he ends up with a following who think he must know what he is on about, and repeat everything they hear as gospel.

So many gaps in most of his 'truth'.

He has one clip going to town on the Ford Ranger ad, the one where its spinning around with a ball and chain hanging off each end. He picks the ad to pieces nit picking all the engineering errors etc. Its an ad, for crying out loud. I wonder if he gets upset when he sprays himself with Lynx and finds he isn't suddenly irresistable to the hot chick.

The guy is a tosser.

You should have given your statement a bit more bite by saying “as believable as the ABC ”

ACA has quiet a bit more credibility compared to the ABC

You are actually putting him on a pedestal by comparing his credibility to ACA.

Probably more people watch ACA compared to the ABC.

Can you inform us all who we should listen to technically about cars ?

John Cadogan at this stage has the field to himself !

From Mr Cadogan's website...

https://www.privatefleet.com.au/car-...ord-territory/

So does he recommend a Territory or does he think they are poop (as per his youtube clips)?

Just a short excerpt from the link...

On the road, the big Ford Territory is nimble and secure. You feel safe inside this big Ford – and the ANCAP five-star crash testing result back this feeling up nicely. Active safety features include systems like: DSC, Roll Over Mitigation, TC, ABS, EBD, EBA and even a belt reminder system. Five airbags are standard, and the reversing system (with camera) is an excellent feature – especially in town.

Ford invests millions in the designing and production of the Ford Territory. And it is safe to say that the money is well spent. The Ford Territory is a refined vehicle that suits the Australian environment and its roads – providing the same kind of ease in driving whether it’s around the cities or suburbs, while still offering a worthiness that all customers will be pleased with.

Very safe, spacious and comfortable: the New Ford Territory for 2012 is a real winner!
