i hope it hasnt had a hit, the front bar doesnt seem to be fitting up quite right..... shouldnt be too hard to sort out though...

From the pic it looks like it may have been hit as the colour match on between the right front guard, bonnet and front bumper doesn't look right.

Its often the case even without a hit. Look at the Silver XR's in the AU, they had massive issues trying to match the pain from the factory. Some colours just seem to do that.

Its cos the front bars are made of a different material to the rest of the panels. Not anythig to worry about unless you cant stand the mismatch.

You're leaving the e-series owners club, Tommy? So much for modifying the EA! By the way, have you fixed the ED bumper, or the door for that matter? I agree that is a nice looking AU, even though I must admit I've never been a fan of that colour either. Good luck with you new purchase. Hope to see you bring the AU on a few e-series cruises!

Nice - I'd leave the badges, but definitely lower it a bit. Welcome to the late 20th century!

Welcome, happy to have another join the growing ranks.
I dont mind the colour at all to be honest, but the XR badge is a bit much.
Either way, looks like a good car, enjoy it and have fun. Maybe sign up for the Heathcote drags in Jan and remove its "virgin" status.

Needs the authentic full Tickford kit (re sideskirts, etc)....it'll sit much nicer. Seems those XR's (even the real ones) without the full kit don't look as mean..??

yeah, while mines a ute, the S1 probably isn't the meanest one out there, but then that's what AWC is for!

Still, this looks like a nice sedan. Well done mate.

Meh, plenty of mean looking show ponies around. Give it some balls, then worry how "mean" it looks. Of course, by then, you only need to worry about the back, thats all most will ever see. _2:

Nice car. I'm astounded with the black interior. I thought all Forte interiors came in any colour you wanted as long as it was grey!

My suggestions for it would be:-

Full AU1 kit including biplane spoiler with top level painted black
Carbon Fibre Centre console area, leave the rest black
MOMO wheel
Leather seat skins (can get them new from Ford)
More oomph

You can buy the seat covers that are on AU XRs. The "leather" bit. Just pull your old fabric off and get a trimmer to fit the new stuff for you - instant leather seat Ford spec.
