Question ThePirateBay news?

Does anyone have a link or information about Aussie ISPs blocking access to TPB sometime in the last few days?

I haven't been able to find info that is fresh.

Thanks

edit: please don't discuss how to bypass any blocks or anything illegal.

I have no reason for USENET, I'm not trying to download anything.

Something bizarre going on. A friend on Optus just said he couldn't load the site directly. He could indirectly.

I can usderstand the 'illegality' of newly released movies being put up, but what's the deal with TV shows that have been broadcast fee to air? Or, movies that have been on TV 8 million times? Why would it be illegal to download (or upload) those? Why is it different to recording it?

Bigpond wasn't blocked last night.

According to Optus CS, there is a routing issue that is affecting some but not all.

I'm with Adam Internet, can't get onto it.

The connection has timed out

The server at thepiratebay.org is taking too long to respond.

No good with Optus.

I've been using a proxy.

Edit: I'll just add that I can't access it on my iPhone either. That's with Vodafone.
