Default Aftermarket wheels - 17" or 18" ?

So I feel the time has come to find a set of nice wheels for the for the focus, and as if deciding on a design and tyre isn't hard enough, I still can't decide between 17 or 18 inch wheels.

The focus is waiting to be fitted with Eibach springs and Bilstein B8 shocks.

Just chasing opinions on here from people that have fitted aftermarket wheels to their focus? Do you 17s look 'big enough'? Are your 18s ruining the ride?

Cheers lads

When I needed wheels for my Cougar I got them from here....

http://www.tirerack.com/

Although they are in the USA and it was a little bit of effort on my side mainly with making payment the wheels were so much cheaper it was ridiculous.

Plus the selection was soooo mauch better.

I decided to go with 18's, based on the fact that the Focus Zetec model came with factory 17s that didn't fill the wheel arches to my liking.

With Eibach springs, plus 18" wheels, be prepared for a much harsher ride. But it is all subjective - I am well and truly used to the harsher ride now and really enjoy the handling characteristics of a sharpened Focus with 225/40/18 tyres.

I like the 18s, it's a bit harsher but still look that much nicer.

If you want a more "flush" look maybe go for 17s so there isn't as much of a gap with the eibach springs in.

Hmm, think I'll wait and see how it looks with the springs fitted before I decide, but I'm leaning towards 18s at the moment
