you know how cars come up to a time where they start to need one thing after another and it never ends and even though theyre perfectly fine for around their area people feel theyre not upto a long trip as you never know when the next things going to go unless you took it off road and fixed everything and re-registered it, would the trouble of not being able to go places or it putting everything else on hold be two of many reasons why people dont put up with it until its completely worn out or the engine goes then replace it.

some people will put up with it until the engine or transmission goes or cars completely worn out. but not many do.

would it be because people need a daily driven car to be able to do atleast a 500km each way trip at any given time to see family or get to work, school or doctors with little to nothing to fix or that isnt putting everything else on hold.

a classic or spare car is probably different isnt it.
