Certainly is a sport IMO, as is all motorsport. Its a competition with a set of rules, and very clear measure of performance.
I dont understand why some people would think it is not a sport?
What would it be if it was not a sport? A hobby? An addiction? Actually, its probably all three at the same time...lol
