Terribly sad for Schumi and his family.
Unfortunately maximum recovery from brain injury occurs by some 18 months, and by 24 months you reach a plateau in recovery....
For his wife she now needs to deal with the reality- which apparently is 24 hour care that would involve rostered teams of medically trained carers-probably 3 shifts round the clock.
Very very expensive, and his wife needs to be practical about the reality of their situation. Will involve moving him physically to avoid livedo sores, and to reduce lung infections/pneumonia which can be a problem lying down too much-fluid fills the lungs.
Very sad all round and I hope his wife gets strength from their children...
