Mine was an LV and heavily modified - I flogged the absolute *** off it, I got videos of it with the hand brake up and ripping front wheel drive single peggers, it also went down the drag strip 6x.
I also hit a wallaby in it, which smashed the
ECU out of its home, which it then got jammed between the front left wheel and the road, hanging by its wiring loom, and I drove it like that another 15km home and it still survived.
Mine went 235,000km from new when I got rid of it, gave it to a friend, its still alive - he hit a roo in it recently, bashed in the front quarter but its still kicking.
Does 5.7L/100km all day every day, no matter how hard or how soft you drive it.
It went up to 6.1L/100km but with a lot of 150-180km/h
Injectors are around $1000+ GST each, mine had a leaky injector on cylinder 3, but otherwise pretty solid car - stick with the manual and stick with the model prior to the LV as I don't think it has the torque limiter on the first three gears like the LV does.
