Nugget,slower rpm rates allow the engine to build power against the load and can lead to higher figures.
I have seen most operators vary between 300-600 rates.

Yeah,the 3v's are a more efficient design and that usually shows up in bsfc's.
IE,they use comparably less fuel to make the same or more power than older designs of cylinder heads.
