haven't had the car for long (only 220kms on it at the moment..) so the engine is still very tight, but dad n i have managed to get it down to 8.4L/100km, and thats in near constant stop-start traffic and short hops where it doesn't fully warm up

not bad i reckon... out of interest, what RPM do u manual guys shift at to get the best economy? i've found anything under about 2700 is pretty good, but im wary of labouring the engine when its still so new. being gentle is the key.. oh and turn off the aircon in winter :
