While I understand the S-Type was an acquired taste, just like an AU Falcon, I really like these. Speaking of the AU Falcon, there are a lot of styling theme similarities between the AU and S-Type. The interior especially, the sweep of the woodgrain across the dashboard, the steering wheel, the baboon ar.e center stack. The exterior has the same tapering front and rear profiles, similar ovoid rear windscreen and similar door design execution. Hell, they even used a Ford key. From memory, they also shared the IRS design from the DEW platform that the AU also used. |
