Just had new battery installed by RACV. All the before mentioned faults have been rectified.
I noticed the the serviceman connected a small auxiliary power supply before disconnecting the battery terminals which maintained all system settings. With the old battery the starter motor was still cranking the engine satisfactorily but the parking sensor chimes sounded strange and a low battery warning message was appearing on screen. Also the main screen would not function with the engine off. The battery was the original factory fitted from new and was approximately 5 plus years old.
