Default Re: Dealer vs Normal Mechanic

Only times I have been to the dealer is during warranty for things to be sorted by the dealer itself ... may have had the servicing done (Winford Ford was good though and looked after me as a customer).

Also things that needed specific alignment (front shaft to front diff on Territory comes to mind) .... had to get that done by Ford as they had the calibration equipment to do so.

Other than that ... I do the run of the mill stuff at home ... and anything more I go through my trusted mechanic.
