It would be a great comparison... lets see the LS1 bolt on record is 11.5, not sure about ls1 regarding stock cams with altered timing, cant imagine it being much quicker
Get the ute as close as possible to 1600kg or so, and run a time with the current motor/driveline setup and see the difference between a 5.4V8 and a 5.7Ls1, and then you can also compare ET's, 60's, half track and MPH and have a definitive comparison between the 2 motors
